The School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering (sAIDE) at IIT Ropar celebrated Teacher’s Day, paying tribute to the faculty members and mentors who inspire innovation, critical inquiry, and research excellence across our community. From foundational learning to cutting-edge research in AI and Data Engineering, our faculty continue to shape the next generation of engineers, researchers, and thought leaders. Happy Teacher’s Day to all the mentors guiding the frontiers of tomorrow.
Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar welcomed a high level delegation from Samsung Research's Next Level Innovation Lab (SRI-Noida), taking forward the institute's long term MoU with Samsung. The delegation was led by Mr. Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director, along with Mr. JK Kim, Mr. Younglae Cho, Mr. Vijay Gupta, Mr. Ankush, and Dr. Dr. Ashish Kumar Namdeo, IFS, General Manager, Open Innovation. The visit began with a meeting with Director Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, followed by a presentation from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering - SAIDE on ongoing collaboration and future plans with SRI-N.
The School of AIDE warmly welcomed the inaugural Batch of 2026 for the B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering and B.Tech in Digital Agriculture programmes. The orientation introduced students to the academic curriculum, research opportunities, institute facilities, student support services, and campus life, providing a strong foundation for their academic journey at IIT Ropar.
Dr. Puneet Kumar strengthens collaboration between sAIDE, IIT Ropar, and CMVS, University of Oulu, advancing joint research in multimodal AI, human behaviour analysis, and digital health while fostering future international projects.
